is a solid travel booking service
. In fact, in my experience, it’s even better thank Kayak or Hipmunk at finding you the cheapest flight. Now Google
is rolling out an update
to the service that will alert you when the price of your flight is expected to increase.
This is useful when booking a flight because sometimes you need to know if you need to book now or if you can wait a few days. Google
bases the pricing information on historical flight data so it win’t be perfect, but you’ll have a much better idea of knowing if booking now is really the best time.
As a side note, I used Google Flights
to search for a trip I booked last week to Atlanta. With Kayak, my airfare was right at $300. WithGoogle Flights
I could have booked a similar departure time for $188. Take that, Kayak.
